Slow Cooker Sausage, Spinach & Tortellini Soup

|1 pound(s) Italian Sausage|
|1 large Onion, chopped|
|3 clove(s) Garlic|
|1 can(s) Crushed Tomatoes (28 oz.)|
|1 quart Chicken Broth|
|1 cup(s) Water|
|1/2 cup(s) Dry red wine|
|1 package(s) Cheese Tortellini (9 oz. or so)|
|1 Bag of Spinach|
1. Saute sausage, onion & garlic over medium heat until meat is slightly browned.
2. Dump the mix and all drippings into the slow cooker, add next four ingredients and cook on low for 2 hours.
3. Add the tortellini and spinach to the soup, bump heat to high for 1 additional hour.
NOTE: I mixed 1/2 lb. of hot and 1/2 lb. mild Italian sausage, but spicy vs. mild is up to you.
Top with romano cheese and fresh basil as desired.
