1 cup(s) Long Grain Cooking Rice
3 cup(s) Water
1-1/2 quart Milk
1 pint Half & Half
1 cup(s) Sugar
1 Egg
2 teaspoon(s) Vanilla
1 package(s) Vanilla Pudding (NOT instant)
Place rice and water in large pot. Cook until water is absorbed about 20 minutes. DO NOT LEAVE POT ...STIR FREQUENTLY or it will burn and stick. Combine ALL other ingredients starting with milk. (beat egg slightly before adding) Cook at a low simmer for about 90 minutes until thick. (If you do not cook for the 90 minutes pudding will NOT come to a thick consistency . REMEMBER DO NOT LEAVE POT ******You must stir constantly****** Pudding will thicken more as it cools. Pour into bowl and top with cinnamon. I usually double recipe. enjoy!
